I don't think it should be shown to the public. What happened was a tragedy to his family, and to have that seen by the public would be very painful to them. You have to consider his two precious children, would you want your children to see a video of your death. Some things should not be shared with anyone outside the family. Even though he was a national celebrity, his untimely and tragic death should be something left out of the public eye. We have to have a little respect for his memory and his family.

The copies and the original were all destroyed by the family, so I will consider this a theoretical question.

Absolutely not.......Nothing to be gained by it. Don't swim over the top of large animals that have barbed tails..we can imagine the rest. It made me terribly sad for weeks to even hear of his death. I certain wouldn't want to see it. The macabe have plenty of exciting "Faces of Death" footage to rewind and watch again. Leave Steve's legacy with some dignity, he should be remembered as he was- alive and enthusiastic.

On a personal level I dont think it should- In that case should they show all the deaths that are on tape-famous or not? Anywho- It should be up to his wife and his father (his father being his father and being such a HUGE influence on his work)- I'm sure they wouldnt want it out. Who would honestly like to get asked in an interview (because you know itd happen) "After seeing the footage of Steves death how do you feel? What should he have done differently?" No one should have to answer those questions or be asked those questions- You would have to sit there and honestly think to yourself- If that was your son, brother, father, husband, best friend/mate, would you want to be asked those questions?

Why? What possible purpose could this serve, except to entertain the ghouls? I read somewhere that Irwin's wife destroyed the video of his death. I hope this is true; if so, good for her!

I think it shouldn't be shared with the public, because it is a private matter. But I guess others may argue with me, saying it is about the most important thing he did during his life, which was dealing with animals, and that it was a heroic death which should be publicized.

Well im no older than 13 but why hurt that family that has lost so much. Would you put your family through that JUST for entertainment?

But really why. I'm sure your just trying to the public a favor but to that family you are committing a crime worse than murder.

Don't even show it on the internet. us "kids" have more motive that you think.

Such kind of video should no be shown on TV to the public. Children watch TV too and they are highly effected and tend to do the same thing as game which mostly results in disaster.. Please do not show to the public. It can be on a website where you have to pay to watch it, so children won't have easy access to it..

Yes of course that why everyone watch the show because he was such a nut and people wanted to see him get tagged by his crock that would have been really cool. anyways i new it would happen I even told everyone it was going to happen. But told my friend he wouldn't last 5 years as the Crock Hunter.

Well one more thing I learned from SteveO what not to do with wild animals. LOL

The video should not be shared, the same way that images of Tsunami victims in their last throws of life should not be shown. A person's last moments should be between them and God, and if peacefully, with their loved ones.

No, you ****. If you want to see people die watch the latest news on Iraq. PS If it was your parents who died like Steve Irwin, would you be happy to have the moment shared with idiots like yourself?
