sorry your ignorance has had to be put on public display via your posted question. We are free, gloriously free! What is wrong? would you like to be so free that you can buy a gun (w/o a check on you) and take that gun to score drugs(which will kill you or someone else) and walk into any store and steal whatever you want? there have to be checks and balances even in a free society.

We are. the fact that you "can" ask this type of question and "get" answers pretty much proves it.
If you think not, get a visa to N. Korea and start posting from there, you will get an extremely "interesting" comparison to your current freedoms, accepting that you live through it of course.

Free relative to communism in Venezuela or free as in anarchy in Greece.
