Yes, you can use a shovel to remove the snow from a new concrete driveway. However, don't use any de-icing material or ice melt on it for atleast 1 year.

Hi, sorry you have to shovel snow.I'd guess your driveway's concrete is older than three days? My dad would say,"shovel away!" Concrete sets pretty fast. That's why you have to hose it down quite often,to slow the curing process, and keep it from cracking from setting too fast.I saw this cool snow shovel in a magazine,it had a big shovel in the front, and a big wheel in the back with two long handles.Kinda like you where mowing the lawn or had a BIG dog!Ha-ha.Go to hammacher.com to see it.Bye.

what a funny question. Not to you, but here in Brisbane, Australia it's been between 30 and 34 degrees celcius all week. The thought of having to shovel snow is almost unimaginable!!

You can as long as the concrete is cured. Basically, if you are driving on it then the shovel shouldn't hurt anything.

Do what I do, send the kids out there with a couple of dustpan and brush sets. Yep that's right, my kids have never been hanging around the malls and getting into trouble...It's all about making sure they've got plenty to do at home. Tomorrow, if they want feeding they have to have put those three rolls of carpet I bought in the sales down and make sure I can't see any joins.

The only other option is a snowblower. If you don't have that, then shovel it is!
