Depends on if you mean new as in newly released or new as in you haven't listened to it.

If you mean new as in newly released, well youre in a hurt situation, most "music" nowadays sucks,
John Mayer
Gnarls Barkley
Red Hot Chili Peppers
are good bands with new albums.
The best I can suggest is go old school. The early to mid 90's were the best years for modern music and the 60's and 70's are the best years for classic rock, which I would advocate as the best music era and genre of all time.
Also branch out, try listening to somes blues or funk they are great styles but sometimes they need a certain mood to be their most enjoyable.
