By "better", you mean faster, than yes. A dual-core processor is essentially two processors, and two is always better than one, even if they are a little bit slower individually. Compare that to real life - two people cleaning a room will always be faster than one person who is moving a little bit faster. I can tell you approximately how much faster but I would have to do some pretty intense calculations. If you are making a purchasing decision, I would go for the dual-core, although there are many other factors that go into a decision of which one is "better".
