Everything is a matter of degrees. There are liberals and conservatives in San Francisco--just like Dallas, Chicago, NYC, etc. It's true San Francisco is more open, but that means it's more accepting of everyone, including conservatives. It's very liberal, more tourist-oriented, very beautiful, very forgiving of differences---and has cool, damp weather. There are very conservative areas there, also.

In comparison to most cities in america, san francisco is one of the most liberal, from access to drugs to its acceptance of all sexuality. It is truly a beautiful place, crime rate isnt too bad and the people are a bit more friendly than other cities in CA. The school has a good rep as well.

San Francisco is very liberal.

If you are from a more conservative place, it is a little shocking at first.

rather liberal, yet no longer as undesirable as Berkelely. the folk there are so off the wall they think of they are able to question President Bush or some thing. Even Nancy Pelosi is purely too lots of a reasonable for some harcore left wingers there. a great form of activism and that kind of stuff there, no person is ever satisfied with the prestige quo and continually prefer substitute. that's a extraordinarily thrilling mix of people, generally left winger yet some harcore top wingers too as somebody else talked approximately.

As far as San Francisco is concerned, you don't see President Bush there very often.
