An Ecosystem is the most complex level of organization in nature. It is made up of communities and their nonliving or physical environments, such as climate, soil and water.
Ecologists divide an ecosystem into six main parts, based on the relationship of energy and food in the system: (1) sun, (2) abiotic substances, (3) primary producers, (4) primary consumers, (5) secondary consumers, and (6) decomposers.
