My G/F used to do that, NOW SHE'S MY WIFE AND DOES THAT ! Just once, I wish I could open a cabinet and NOT have everything avalanche out all over me, I call it the "SUE" method of organization. She said to me yesterday, "I'm going to get a professional organizer to help me, who cares if it costs $500"...
I said "I CARE, Do the damn laundry, wash the damn dishes, and clean up, I just saved us $500, now get to work" !

I don't know about the plates and pans but to stop her dropping her Jeans marry her, then she wont drop them for you then mate!
