Warning!
You are only allowed to drive on your International driving license you acquired in the UK for a maximum of 6 months. If the police stop you, which is very rare in Greece, they will give you a Euro 250.00 fine. The second offense will result in confiscation of your driving license and your passport.

You can convert your UK driving license to a Greek one. This means surrendering it to the Greek government by the way, but no worries you can get a duplicate of your UK lic. when you return to the UK..
You must have been a Greek resident for at least 6 months to qualify for this privilege/curse.

You need to contact a driving school in Greece and hire them to take care of all the paperwork and running around that will be required for it. No driving or written test is required only an eye exam.
You will have to request your driving record from DVLA and it must be sent directly to the Greek embassy in England.

Be prepared for this process to take 6 to 8 months after you start the application process.

You could take a Greek driving test and get a Greek driving liscence. When you move back to the UK you will have a foreign driver's license and may have to pay a higher rate of insurance for a few years.
You will also need to be able to know the Greek highway code and have a valid eye test, chest x-ray and to pass a written test in Greek.
Usually you can get all the forms from the town hall - like how in the UK you get them from a Post Office not the DVLA headquarters itself.
