Yeah, it was an old Alka-Seltzer commercial from the early '70s.
"Try it, you'll like it" is the advice that a well-meaning waiter gives an unfortunate customer who soon urgently needs relief from his gas and acid indigestion after eating a meal that didn't agree with him.
I remember the waiter standing right behind the seated customer as the distressed customer explains to us how the waiter talked him into trying the unfortunate meal by saying, "try it, you'll like it."
"Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz —
Oh What Relief It Is"

It was from a commercial, of that I am sure. It is either for Alka-seltzer or Pepto-bismol.

The commercial went something like: The person in the commercial was relating a story about eating some kind of food that he didn't know about or didn't want to eat. The offerer kept saying 'Try it, you'll like it', but the person says, "I tried it, I didn't like it."

It's a really old commercial, probably from the 70's or early 80's.

It is from an old Alka Selzter commercial in the early 1970's...A person was talking about how their friends kept prompting them to just" Try it you 'll like it" over and over until they got acid indigestion....and of course the Alka Seltzer cured it all. It was very very popular at the time... along with " I can't believe I ate the whole thing." Another Alka Seltzer classic.

It is English for "Giv ah Farzuch," a frase used by Jewish mothers to get you to eat something. It was popularized in an Alka seltzer commercial back in the seventies when a Jewish woman tells her husband to "Try it he'll like it" after he sees the fizzing and doesn't trust the product. It is the predecessor to "Plop plop fizz fizz oh what a relief it is." But, the origin has nothing to do with television.

"Try it.... you'll like it" was an old Alka Seltzer commercial.

It was Life cereal that used the "Mikey will eat anything" slogan.
