Wow, ever notice how the Repubtards are always calling us anti -american, and yet they are the ones who have forgotten what it means to be an American. They are the ones that want to send this country and everyone in it to hell in a handbasket. They want another Third Reich over here. Thats not what America is all about. It's supposed to be the land of the free and the home of the brave. Why dont more liberals call them anti american and repubtards ( hence the lame name they call us "libtards")

Mahal - you are lame. Ive NEVER called our servicemembers losers. You must be on crack. My brother served time in the ARMY and so did my ex husband. We can have a beef with the "decider " about whether or not the war is necessary without you going and blowing that out of proportion and saying we called the service members losers. I've never heard anyone on this board or in real life, who is a liberal, say one negative thing about the troops fighting this war.

I understand why you're upset; I don't like it either. But calling them names back is really the wrong way to go about things. All you are giving them is additional fuel in their quest.

Instead, battle their obviously bias questions with facts, using sources if possible. For those that have no question, but instead a statement... well, it's not called Yahoo! Statements.

If we can stop all of the bias anger on here, they'll have nothing to base their claims on. It'll just be an annoyance. Republicans, you should take heed of this as well... if you stop the mudslinging, the more "vibrant" people on here will eventually run out of stuff to say.

Frankly, I've had it with the hate "questions" from both sides. Everybody needs to STOP, before this site is completely lost in the mayhem.

I'm a Christian, and a former military person. War is not directly about killing. It is about denying the enemy any chance of achieving his (or her) military objective. This is best accomplished by forcing the enemy to surrender, but it is unfortunate that the preliminary step is usually to kill or capture the enemy. I know that many people will disagree, but it is neither murder nor "un-Christian" to kill your nation's enemies in a war. Until such time as all nations and all leaders disavow military force as dispute resolution strategy, there is no choice but to respond to threat and agression other than with lethal force It is naive to imagine otherwise. I'm no fan of Mr. Bush, believe you me, but in general terms the leaders of any nation have the duty and the responsiblity to neutralize external threats such that the citizens can live in peace and security. If that involves continuing a war until the threat is gone, so be it. I disagree with the Iraq war, by the way. I don't know if Mr. Obama is a Muslim, but so what if he is? Go ahead and hate me for saying this, but I would take a just and righteous Muslim president any day or a phoney-baloney self-proclaimed Christian one. I''m not talking about Mr. Bush or anyone else--I'm speaking in general terms. I'm talking about a Muslim who follows what Islam really says we ought to do and how we should live our lives.

"i've heard several people say they think the war is unnecessary and that George W is a DINK."

Lady, I would think that for someone who lives amongst military personnel it would mean that you understand the critical nature of what our men and women in uniform are facing in the MiddleEast moreso than most. I would think that the ultimate goal for you is to bring as many of them home safely as we can.

I have to wonder how posting this thread helps their situation or works toward accomplishing that goal.

Something for you to think about...are you trying to bridge the gap between Democrats and Republicans. Are you promoting unity in the best interest for our men and women serving in the military.

I don't call people names and I don't appreciate being called names. It seems kindof childish to me and far from the responsible way we should be acting.

I'm a Republican and I think I'm about as Pro-American as some can get. I'm a Marine wife, living on 801 housing near our base. My eagle globe and anchor are right there in my back window. It takes a heck of Pro-American to marry a United States Marine. You don't just talk it, ya walk it.

I usually call liberals anti-American because they are shameless in calling our service members losers and failures during a time of war, especially while we're winning.

Your emotional-breakdown politics and habit of making up anything you need to to make America look bad to the world is another dimension. America is prospering economically under Repub leadership (not going to Hell), there is no 3rd Reich (your life has not changed at all), and the only Brave in this home are those wearing uniforms, most of whom are conservative. (While in the military, I met two liberals. That's it.)

Personally, I don't see this often among conservatives or Republicans. We have no problem rooting for our side to win.

If you don't want to be called "anti-American", stop being anti-American. It's as simple as that. Don't worry about everyone else, worry about yourself.
