The Butterfly Effect is a notion from Chaos Theory. It speaks to the unpredictability of dynamic systems such as the weather. The illustration goes like this: A butterfly flaps its wings in the Amazon. By the time all of the effects of this single flap have played out, there has been a typhoon in Japan. The idea is that the weather, and other complex areas, are unpredictable because of the nature of the interactions of multiple non-linear systems.

The Jacket. The context is very different but in this movie a guy goes back and forth in reality which is actually time and sees the future. He tries to solve his death that is going to happen among with other mysteries. The vessel that he uses to achieve these super natural deeds is a straight jacket. In the butterfly effect it was his diary and pictures but the effect is close.
The Jacket is good and you will enjoy it.. I promise. Oh, do you have butterfly effect on your computer? Could you send it to me?
Enjoy the movie

"Frequency" with Dennis Quaid and Jim Caviezel (the Passion). Anyways it's about a boy whose father dies as a firefighter. Later on in life (as an adolt), he finds his father's old firefighters radio. Somehow (accidentally) he contacts his father from the past and as a result strange things start to happen. I don't want to ruin the movie for u, but u won't regret it if u watched it.
P.S. take my word for it bec I've seen aloooooot of movies

Memento. but it was an old movie. About a guy who also has memory blackouts, but tried hard to keep them by tatooing notes on his body daily, on certain details that had happened, that he wanted to remember.
There is fight club and primal fear, but its not that similar to butterfly effect though.

Definatly Donnie darko!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Firstly they parallel with their own dark atmosphere...
and I found Donnie Darko less disturbing and better than butterfly effect!
Summary for this:
During the presidential election of 1988, a teenager named Donnie Darko sleepwalks out of his house one night, and sees a giant, demonic-looking rabbit named Frank, who tells him the world will end in 28 days, 6 hours, 42 minutes, and 12 seconds. He returns home the next morning to find that a jet engine has crashed through his bedroom. As he tries to figure out why he survived and tries to deal with people in his town, like the school bully, his conservative health teacher, and a self-help guru, Frank continues to turn up in Donnie's mind, causing him to commit acts of vandalism and worse.
SO I hope you enjoy!!!!!!!!

Go get The Machinist starring Christian Bale (the new Batman). The Machinist is another one of those brain bender "What the hell?" kind of movies.
