I just got a Nokia 6030 cell phone. Is it possible to send an image or ringtone to my phone from my computer. If so, what format do images need to be. I know it can play MP3 ringtones and I have a few on my computer that I created with a Motorola program I used with my old phone.

it's usually pretty easy. i know cingular customers have an email address that is the phonenumber@mycingular.mms or some crap like that. the easiest way is to do the reverse. send a text message from your phone to your email address and then you can reply or just save the email address that your phone uses and compose a message from there.

if you want to send a ringtone to your phone via and mp3 on your computer you may be out of luck. most mp3's are too large to be sent. a few phones have mini-SD cards that hold up to 2 GB of data and that would allow you to send the mp3 to your phone without using too much memory. but there are some great website that let you create your own ringtones from mp3's on your computer and then you type in your phone number and it send the ringtone to your phone via mp3 but in a compressed format that the phone can download (www.create-ringtone.com is one such site that i highly recommend)

as far as images if they're small enough a jpeg image should work. the same way.
