Murder, Rape, illnesses with no cure, Poverty, Racism,Addiction and Hatred. These are things we all see everyday that are a reminder that you can't understand the world.
Seeing a homeless person sitting on the side of street is a crude reminder, the hooker on the side of the road selling herself to feed her addiction is a reminder. The woman and children sleeping in shelter's tonight trying to escape an abusive past is a reminder. Everything is a reminder, no one can honestly say they understand the world and the way it works but I haven't seen too many people that have tried to seriously make much of a difference. Today everyone is so caught up in themselves and getting ahead that they don't care who they have to hurt to get where their going. Everyone seems to think that their problems are bigger then everyone else's, they don't take a minute to try to help. Something as simple as saying hello or smiling at someone can completely change someone else's day, it can start a cycle. If people would take time we might see a bit of a difference.

The unexpected can be good things or bad things, and things that look good at first may not be upon reflection, and vice versa.
I've been going through a lot of changes in my life in the last year and a half or so, and it has brought me up to an appreciation of Serendipity. That's Lady Luck's proper name. And frankly, she's a very fickle lady, but she can be very, very sweet when she's in a good mood.
Lately, she's been in a mood to help the old crone. The old crone is grateful. She doesn't understand completely, but she's grateful.

When I see people that have lived their lives with nothing but love and kindness suffer lengthy painful illnesses before death.
