Today is Sunday my only day off! I have to clean apt wash, dry Iron etc also have to visit a friend who goes back to the UK mid week so have to go. Also another friend wants me to visit .Not enough Hours in the day to do all this and it's supposed to be a day off!!!!

Not selfish - if it's practical, why don't you invite them all over for a takeaway like a curry or something tonight? That way you get to have time to yourself, see your friends in the evening and in a way have a sort of 'farewell' do - and you can't beat a good curry takeaway for British tradition!!!
Just don't drink too much - we've got work tomorrow!!

forget the working as you deserve one day off to do what you want.
when you are on your last few minutes of life you will not regret not working these jobs but you will recall the joy of visiting your friend.
forget that work as it will not go away but your friend is going away..don't postpone pleasure...quoted Henry Ford II...but he was a billionaire? yes, but you should not either as if you don't find the time for what you want to do now you never will...are you a slave?

It's not selfish to take care of yourself and your own needs, it's wise. If you always put the wants of others ahead of your own needs you will become bitter and resentful. You deserve to relax on your day off and spend it with whomever you like.
