Roland of Gilead. The last gunsliger. Firstly, because he is one of the coolest heroes I've ever read and also because he opened me up to how brilliant Stephen King is and that he is so much more than just "that horror writer". If you're not familiar, you should check out the Dark Tower series.

Sal Paradise from On The Road. Hes my fav because he believed in truly living, doing, seeing, even if it means not having much. He would rather really LIVE than earn money for materialistic status symbols.
