She started out making and selling homemade cakes,cookies,than went into catering dinners for dinner parties,and went on from there. She than started her television show after she had purchased her farm,and broadcasts from there.And any of the handy-man, fix-it,and garden things ,you'd better learn to do it your self.If you own a farm,you can't always get someone out to it sometimes.You know the rest of her story.Bye. Oh, by the way, it's easy to do things like,install a dishwasher,or repipe your kitchen,put up a ceiling fan,put in a new automatic sprinkler system or new lighting,even build a garage,with a bathroom.It's fun! And i'm only 5'4" 110lbs! It's cooking that's hard for me,I respect her for that.BYE.

She probably researched authorities and went out of her way to read their books and meet. She also probably learned some of that stuff growing up.
