Cassada - Everytime We Touch
J Lo - Lets Get Loud
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc
Buck Cherry - Crazy *****
Anastasia - Left Outside Alone
Arctic Monkeys - Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor
Maroon 5 - Harder and Harder to Breathe
Van Morrison (I like Everclear's cover) - Brown Eyed Girl
Joan Jett - I Love Rock 'n Roll
Michael Jackson - The Way You Make me Feel
Mya - Ghetto Superstar
Rihanna - SOS

Would make a for a good start. Really depends on what kinda peeps you will have at your party. Variety is always good to guarantee that everyone will like something. Use a song you are sure they will dance to (Rihanna's SOS is pretty hard to resist) and then work in other songs you like. If you are desperate you can always get Clarance Carter's "Strokin" to get some people out dancing. At least one person always knows that dance and then everyone else will learn it quick.

Just read brooks answer and I also heart ska & punk. Try out the Matches, the Atari's or Tsunami Bomb :D

Depends on who's going to be at the party. If it were my party and I wanted music people could dance to I'd put on something by 311, or maybe a ska band like Catch 22 or Reel Big Fish. It really depends on what music you think most people there would like.
