Who has overachieved and will come crashing down to earth? Who has struggled but will finally pull it together and make a run? are nashville and anaheim that good? is new jersey primed for another stellar playoff run? what about the sabres? will forsberg go back to the avs? would it make that much of a difference if he did? can the penguins surprise people and not only make it to the playoffs but win a round or two, or are they still too young and need more time? how about the thrashers?

it's gonna be a fun time, but what do you think? gimme your thoughts, as well as your prediction for the finals and the champion... (i'm realistic... my avs won't be there... oh how the mighty have fallen...)

well i see everything staying the same till the end its going to be one heck of a dog fight for some teams fighting for a playoff spot. in the Eastern Conference the teams that will start to fall apart come the second half of the season are the Florida Panthers, Washington Capitals (they did give a great year for such crappy talent but will start to faid away) Boston Bruins, Toronto Maple Leafs. the Pens, Rangers, Lighting and the Islanders will be dogging it out for that 7th and 8th spot in the East.

now for the West: everything will be practically the same as we see now, teams that struggled at the start of the season will not have that much improvement come the playoff stretch. teams like Kings, Blackhawks, Bluejackets, Blues and Coyotes will all start to faid away, so the true battle of the West will be between the Oilers, Avs and the Wild for that final 8th spot.

I'm usually right on this kind of things and that's what i see cause on both sides there pretty close if you tell me and with the playoff stretch the teams that had a good year so far will get better and the teams that surprised us the most like the Caps and Islanders will see how it looks come playoff time.

i think the teams in the front right now all deserve to be there. the last couple of spots in the playoffs are a tight race as they usually are but look for certain teams to start and pull away.
as always u have to also watch out for teams that are always at the top round this time the team i like detroit is in great position and still could finish first in the west however this has not helped us at al past couple years so id rather see them finish 2nd or 3rd n give that a try

Hmm, keep faith. The Northwest Division is the tightest. There's only 5 points separating the bottom and top!

Anyway, looks like the Canucks are pulling it together and will seriously bid for a playoff berth. As for bringing home the Cup.. I can't decide.
