Just wondered why I have a neice that is white but will only mix with black people and talks and acts agressive all her words are very jamaican slang. I think there is nothing wrong with mixing with different cultures but why does she think white people are lower than black what is it about this culture of young people now

maybe I never explained it properly she is acting agressive walks around telling people she dont mix with white people because they are idiots gets a violent dog to show off and cannot talk to you with any sense because she thinks she is some rude girl, this is not going to get her far. I think there are many black people that dont act like this and respect all cultures what gives her the right to act like that

Your niece has her own life. If she likes the black culture, then so what? And Dana, I'd rather die a thousand deaths than to be in your family. You wouldn't take a wonderful baby that didn't ask to have a black father and a white mother out in public? What is this world coming to? "Sigh"

Maybe your problem is categorizing her behavior as "Black" when it's something else. Hell, not all black people are aggressive and talk with Jamaican slang. I'd bet most of them don't, actually. Assuming your neice's behavior is a problem, I'd say you actually have two problems to deal with.

I hate the idea that behavior deemed is "acting black," as if all white's behavior is on the up and up and as if all blacks behave incorrectly. I don't think you mean it this way though, I mean this in general.

What exactly is acting black? OHH you mean she likes to dance, she knows all the hottest slang, and she dresses urban style? I love how people say thats acting black.
From a 33 year old upper class white girl if that matters :)

I don't understand it either. I have a beautiful niece who got with a black guy and ended up having a baby. Due to all the drugs the guy was doing and dealing he ended up in prison,...and CPS took my niece's baby. I love my niece but I don't approve with the way she dates blacks. And I have told her that blacks are not welcome in my home. I think she may be realizing that she needs to stick with white people now due to losing her child and seeing the black man she got pregnant by end up in prison. Noone in our family other than her mother was going to accept the baby. Meaning I would have held it but I would never take the baby in public.My niece started acting like a black person when she was about 11. What is even more confusing is she has loaned several of them alot of money and never gets it back. She has had them steal from her also. So I can't figure out why she associates with them at all.
