why do people consider hollister, abercrombie, and ae, "nice clothing"?
where im from its TRASHY clothing. people who wear it are usually, well "poor"... i dont get it
why do people idolize it so much?

Yeah, I don't really like it either, I'd always considered it a bit..trashy or too casual, but then I moved to a new school and everyone was like "oh my god i love abercrombie" and the pants i usually wore for pe, which were abercrombie, everyone loved..when to me they were just like "bum" clothes... I have no idea, I think its because they don't even know that some people actually wear nicer clothes, not just in magazines...

Manhattan, the place I will once live. Is different. In most other states. It is nice clothing. But the truth is, we really don't get a lot of big designer stuff down here. I mean I sometimes mix abercrombie and burberry, Or Mr. Vuittion with gap. I mean it just works. Just remember the average income for the average person in america is less than 100,00 dollars a year. Which makes it harder for them to buy a decent sized home, they can;t really afford to spend half their pay check on clothes.

because new york has a very different style than california. in california, abercrombie isn't luxury either, well not for most people, but it is the prefered brand of most because it's casual yet still sexy. so maybe you should come to Cali, and see how you wouldn't fit in at all, anywhere except for ...umm....oh nowhere. in cali, this style isn't trashy, but it's not like it's formal so don't get the wrong idea. plus you shouldn't talk about the whole US, you only know NY. that's why i'm only saying california, don't know about anywhere else. and yeahh i don't really like ae, but anyway, i don't really care, i don't plan on moving to NY anytime soon.

I don't like their clothes, and if i had to pick out of those three i'd pick abercrombie. but i absolutely hate almost everything, the only thing i like sometimes are their pajamas and flowy tops. Oh and jean shorts. It's such a waste of money too, it's a pathetic trend. and the stores are awful, I cant stand how many people are in the store at once.

If you go to Southern California, the main look is "relaxed and comfortable". That's why a majority of californian's (especially teenagers) wear it.
