What kind of people live in punjab?

1) i read somewhere ,people are too cunning...........they are too unfriendly towards strangers
2) why people are going to abroad from this part of world......................i will say why this mass exodus
3) Why most of punjabi call themselves Punjabi first and Indian later..........are they patriotic

Punjab is a state in the Indian sub-continent where five rivers namely Satluj,Ravi,Jhelum,Chenab and Bias,meet.

Punjab is the richest state in India with the highest per capita income, a big number of Indian immigrants come from Punjab. Punjab is also the agricultural hub of India. It is the state where the "Green Revolution" (production of surplus wheat) began.
Providing the impetus for the "White revolution", it was Punjab that recorded the highest per capita availability of milk. Its average growth rate of 10% is amongst the highest in the country, clearly reflecting the progressive economy of the state.

Punjab is home to Sikhs,the bravest people in India. The Sikh Golden Temple located in Amritsar has more tourist visits than the Taj Mahal. Punjabi music and bhangra is popular in India and abroad among the sub-continental people.

Life in Punjab began with the Harappan civilisation. This culture existed along the Punjab state (in present day Pakistan). It was named after the city of Harappa which it was centered around. This city is well known for its impressive, organized and regular layout. Over one hundred other towns and villages also existed in this region. The Harappan people were literate and used the Dravidian language.

The presence of five rivers and the fertile land invited invasions. The first alien settlers in Punjab were fair-skinned Aryans who came from Central Asia , Tibet and parts of Russia.

Punjab is divided into 2 parts. East Punjab is in India, inhabited by Sikhs. West Punjab is in Pakistan, Inhabited mostly by Muslims, also some Christians and Hindus. They speak the same language, Punjabi. Their ethnic identity is Punjabi, although their nationality differs. People here differ like people everywhere else.

Normal people like you and me live in Punjab. Like everybody else we try to make an earning for our livelihood and for that we have to be cunning and smart these days. Like normal people from the rest of the country we also try to look for greener pastures and migrate abroad.

I don't think that Punjabis are less patriotic than you and me...
They are there in our arm forces, governments and main streams of public life. Punjab is also the largest food producers.

..with my candid experience when I used to watch the Olympic.. a guy with a turban, I knew for sure that India was participating that event.

Like they say ... Punjab is Great!!

i am an indian so i know a lot about punjab.People who live there are called Sikkhs and the rumors you have heard about them arent true the reason that many people think this way is because the make alot of Sikkhs jokesand this really annoys them. yes they are very patriotic cause they are the only ones in the whole india who practice a relegion called sikkhism

punjabis offcourse,they are of sikh religion,good people ,mainly consists farmers,industrialist etc,they very patriotic and genarous.they like to conquer new heights and they like to travel.
