I've found that, understandably, more elaborate charts don't come free, or cheap ! I am on a very low budget ! every time I look for free stuff it tends to be very simple beginners designs.
Also if anyone knows where I can by aida on line cheaply in the UK ?

or do a search for free cross stitch patterns on google. You'll come up with more patterns that you'll ever be able to use.

Try www.artecy.com. They post two free patterns every two weeks, in addition to having a very reasonable membership deal. They have some of the most beautiful patterns I've ever seen. There are patterns of classic art, scenic photography, animals, florals, and original designs. The patterns are given in a pdf file, for printing. I may never make all the patterns I have from them, but I can always dream!!!
