If you have a PS3, are they worth it?

I got a 360 for Christmas which, but for some reason I have the longing for the PS3. I was thinking on holding out until they get cheaper. What do you think?

I say that the PS3 is worth it because of one main reason. A Blu Ray stand a lone player would cost you WAYYY more than what you paid for the PS3. I don't game on my PS3 much, but the Blu Ray play is awesome; especially with my 7.1 surround sound setup. The PS3 is worth it if you have an HDTV, otherwise it is only worth it if you are planning on getting an HDTV.

For around 700, the PS3 is definitely not worth it. Sure, the quality of the image is better, but thats just it. There's nothing more to it but its shiney images and exterior. They also overheat extremely easily and there are a lot of glitches with the machine.
They won't get much cheaper either. Sony has spent too much money on production for the PS3 that they can't afford to lower prices.
You're much better off with your 360 or a Wii, which I absolutely LOVE.

I say the PS2 is better then the ps3, i want a 360. The 360's graphics r better, and they have more good games, like Halo3 and that new GTA type game. and gears of war lol

PS3's will be awesome by Christmas 2007. Definitely hold out until the first price cut.

i don't own one, but i work in a fairly well known video game chain, and the one we have set up in store keeps breaking down (overheating issues).

other than that, the demo games look pretty nice, graphics wise. i still prefer the other systems i own over it for playability (360, wii, ds, ps2).

PS3s are not great.
But they aren't bad either.
I prefer the Wii.
