A gardenia, not justs for the looks, but for the lovely aroma they have. I have one in my front yard that has grown to be the size of a camelia bush and the aroma when it blooms smells sooo good.

The Protea. Indigenous to South Africa. It's a very beautiful flower, and flowers throughout the year. Other than that, orchids are also really nice.

SUNFLOWERS !!! why ......because it's like they are human ....their heads lower and when the sun comes out they are up ...how cool is that !! The seeds are great for your skin and brain too !

Some might say the rose, yet others might say the orchid. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally like gladiolus and astrolomeria.

dahlias --- but where i live in the tropics flowers are not always that easy to grow ( more from the bug-eating factor ) but i have consistently managed to fill the vases at work with zinnias -- sure they have no scent etc -- but plenty of colour , abundant , and hardy .
