When you look at the moon, who or what do you think about?

Almost every time I look at the moon I think of when I was a very young boy, age 6, and my dad was telling me about how NASA was going to go to the moon the next year. And how, by 1980, they were going to have a Moon Rover. It stuck, what can I say? Not very romantic, but I can see my Dad's face like it was yesterday. I'm 45 now.

When i look at the moon i see beauty and i think about all the people before me that have also starred into the moons light and wondered what would become after they have gone. I wonder how many people before me made wishes upon stars and i wonder how many more wishes that are still unanswered, I wonder when i look at the moon how many prayers have been sent out while others look into the sky at the same thing we see when we look above.

I think about something else, like "what the hell am I doing with my life," or, "good god I've got **** to do," or, "where the hell am I going to get some drugs from?" or "I wouldn't be out here if it wasn't for cigarettes," or, "I wonder what the basketball scores were today?" or maybe there's just a song going through my head. Looking at the moon really has no impact on my thought process.

I don't think of anyone, i think about how facinating the moon is and how big it is, i even think about how people have landed there. I would love to see other planets and just stare in awwww like i do with the moon.

it depends on what mood im in. when i was little my aunt would tell me there was a man on the moon and since my brother died looking at the moon would remind me of him since everyone said he went to heaven which is up there, when im not thinking about that its about my earth science teacher going on about the moon and boring junk like that

i think about the wonder i felt at 10 years old when the astronauts landed on the moon, and my family watched together on tv. i remember standing outside looking at the moon and trying to see them there, wondering how it felt to their kids having their dad on the moon. i also think about the challenger astronauts and the teacher who died, wondering how their families are doing now....i think about alot of stuff.

when i look at moon the first person i think of is ROGER WATERS pinkfloyed, saw him in October at Hollywood ball we had a big beautiful moon, and i start thinking about his song THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON, it takes me back to my parting day and nights till i got to be COMFORTABLY NUMB.
