What is this thing about these tape recordings where people say that tape recordings in empty rooms cemetarys ect have picked up voices of the dead? I think there are a couple of movies (which i did not see) a book and website about it. I saw a bit on a documentry which it just seemed to be slowing the tape and mangling the static, but there was no ressearch to give an explantion.

It's called Eletronic Voice Phenomena.

I'll just send you the Wikipedia entry rather than going into all the ifs, buts, whys and wherefores. But the most famous book on the subject is "Breakthrough" by psychologist Konstantin Raudive.
