Obviously there are too many youngsters on here who don't even know what she did. It doesn't have anything to do with speaking your mind. The constitution doesn't give you a right to put your hands on a gun in a foreign country and shoot at our troops. This is what Hanoi Jane did. As for there being bigger fish to fry.....why don't you tell that to the 10s of thousands of Vets that defended your butts in Vietman. You are disrespectful to them. Some of them forgive her and some of them don't. They have evey right to not forgive her. All she did was cause the US to not support the US troops in Vietman even more. The Vets were spit at and Americans would throw feces at them when they came back from war. You have no idea what they went through so don't judge their opinion of Hanoi Jane. Read about it before you make a judgement call. Educate yourself.....this is coming from someone who wasn't even born when the war took place. I have educated myself, you do the same.

Chill out, the war is over. Do you think Lieutenant Calley should be handed over to the Vietnamese for punishment? Her name is Jane Fonda. Citizens should ALWAYS support their soldiers. But they have the right to criticise the government that is waging the war.
I swear I don't know what the matter is with people like you. The United States made war against the average citizen by the bombing campaign. Many of the bombs were napalm, burning women, children and old people alive and you don't have one iota of concern regarding the horrible things the United States did. ALL OVER A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY WHO WERE OF NO DANGER TO THE UNITED STATES WHATSOEVER.
We fought a war, we lost, I don't care if people say it was the governments fault, doesn't change the fact we lost.
The Vietnamese carried out a guerria war against the Chinese for hundreds of years and drove them out. General Giap defeated the Japanese, then French and if Kennedy or his cheif advisors, Henry K and Robert M ever bothered to read a history book, he wouldn't have involved the United States in a stupid war where it was obvious from the beginning that soldiers who lived in the South and fought with General Giap in two wars, the first against the Japaneses and the second against the French would all of a sudden change their allegience to a puppet government set up by the French and because the French said so.
If you want to blame anybody, blame two certain gentlemen in the Kennedy administration who were supposed to be the smartest foreign analysts around, but neither of the two of them never bothered to read one paragraph about the history and political situation in Vietnam.
Thousands of Americans died because of these two "smart" people who at the time was thought to be smarter than God, made one of the biggest blunders in history. If you want to call anybody "Hanoi" "Hanoi Henry K" or Hanoi Robert M" deserve it more than anyone else.

As someone who served in the military during Viet Nam I am going to add my two cents.
GET OVER IT ALREADY!
We all said and did things during that time we will take to our grave, and most of us wish we could change it too.
You need help, anger management big time.
It's folks like you who will take justice into their own hands and do something horrible.
When are you going to grow a pair and forgive and realize we ALL have made mistakes.

Good grief, that happened almost 40 years ago. Get over it already.
She says she never intended for the photograph to be taken, and she continues to publicly apologize for an incident she describes as her biggest regret. "And I'll go to my grave regretting it," she says. "That image betrayed everything that I had done the previous 2 years - working with soldiers, representing the G.I. movement, entertaining the troops. And I am very, very sorry to have done things that may have hurt or made the soldiers feel betrayed -- I'm sorry."

Yes, Jane Fonda should live in eternal shame for her despicable actions. There is nothing she can do to make up for it.
