do you think you should have the legal right to make her keep the baby and then sign it over to you if she doesnt want it. Or do you care? Or do you think she should retain the right to abort or adopt out as she sees fit, even though it is your child too?

****** I am NOT saying I want to have an abortion. I'm not even pregnant, although I do have a daughter. I would never abort a child, because my husband and I want more. I'm just asking because I am curious. My bros girlfriend aborted a baby that he wanted to keep, and I think that sucks, but want to know how other men feel about the subject.

I'm not a man!! but i do think if the father is willing to bring the baby up and let the mother walk away then YES he should have that right after all a baby/child has 2 parents.
i say this because my brother also had a child aborted and it left him devastated, his ex g/f didn't bother to take her b/c so in my eyes she should have kept the baby abortion isn't a contraception!!
sorry just wanted to have my say!!

it is a hard subject no doubt.

a womans body is hers to do with what she wants.

if i was against abortion and became pregnant but didn't want the child, I would certainly let the father raise and take care of her or him.

i'm sorry this has happened to your brother. it is very sad indeed.
he needs to look at it from another point of view. maybe this baby wasn't his...maybe she couldnt live with herself knowing she gave a full term baby away. there are many reasons a woman has abortions. but for myself, i couldn't live with or even fathom the thought!

please tell your brother that maybe her parents had a say so in the matter, but for God's sake, tell him not to blame himself for what she has done.

good luck

If a woman is having sex, she is KNOWINGLYopening herself up to getting pregnant. A life is a life nomatter wheo wants it or not. If she got pregnant she owes it to her child to see it threw and them make the decision to keep or adopt out. After all that baby didnt make the decision for her to have sex then say i think i want to be cut up by some doctore and sucked out threw a tube to my death!!

The woman is the overriding decider. It is her body. Period.

I do not favor abortion - in fact, I am against it - but I am pro-choice.

my male friend went through this. his fiance was straight outta high school and felt she wasnt ready. he still beats himself up for it because even though he begged her not to, he paid for it because she wanted it (actually it was more her parents) they have since broken up but he still considers it a life he took. its really sad but at the end of the day it is her choice.

disclaimer: I'm not a man.

A woman should not be forced to have a child. Period.
