I really love my bf of 4 yrs but oddly we are total opposites and because of the differences between us sometimes I think we won't last forever, especially when it comes down to discussions about marriage and having children. What do you think?

why not? as you said, youve been together for 4 years so i guess there must be something about him that you liked before and still likes at present. soemtimes words cannot express what that "something" is that you liked in the person and people cannot understand you for that. but thats the mystery of love. sometimes words are not enough to explain it. its just there. "sparks". you just have to rekindle that "spark" all over again... "try to get that feeling again"...

Yes, but when it comes down to the nitty gritty it's not the ideal situation. I married someone opposite of me and let me tell you, he went from being 30 yrs old to 60 yrs old. He does not want to do the things that we use to when we were dating. A lot of the things we did was because I enjoyed them. My husband likes to stay home and that's IT! Believe me, I wish I would have really OPENED my eyes before getting married.

Yes, it is. The clever thing to do before you give your heart to someone, is to talk about what each other wants for themselves and what they want to do with their lives. That way you don't waste time falling in love with someone, who doesn't want the same things as you.
