I've been on the same boat with you~
Well it's hard to have a long-distance
realtionship..interracial relationship isn't
the problem here..i think it's the distance..
if the guy could show your parents how much
he loves you, then i guess your parents'
concept about interracial will be changed..
but since he's not around there to show your
parents that he's worthy of your affection..
then that's the problem..either he move to
your place or you move to his..(if you could
risk that).. ü

Thats preposterous! This is the 21st century for crying out loud! I am in an interracial relationship and I am happier than I have ever been and I would not let anyone take that away from me. If your family really cared about you they would listen to you when you tell them that you are truly happy with this man regardless of his race, religion, nationality, height, weight, eye color etc etc. This is a choice only you can make for yourself but if I was in your situation I would let my family know my feelings and if they still can't accept it then that is their choice! I'm not giving up the man of my dreams for ANYONE! If you truly love this man stay with him...there aren't many good men out there these days, if you got one, don't let go!

Are you kidding me? If you are in america, born or immigrated this is atleast one of the many freedom you have. About the difficulties in relationship, let me tell you there will always be difficulties no matter what even if you marry your own cloned version. The real question is are you really tough enough to takecare of your self Gdforbid if something like that happens? After reading your question i have a vague idea that you might have a very dependent personality. Try to grow out of it and there will never be any confusions. Goodluck1

Men the only problem I see is distance... other than that as long as your color is the one of love, you shouldn't care about the color on the skin, and think of this when you are sixty-something, and you wake up in your bed would you like to see someone of your same race, or the one you love? I mean respect your family, but make them respect you too.

I say let him go not because of race but do to the fact that it's long distance. I think that love doesn't know color. If your family loved you then it wouldn't matter who you date. Also if it was met to be so many odds wouldn't be against you.

Let's see. I'd like to get to a point where Color, isn't even brought up. Once we take that part away. All you have is an Ignarant Family. Not wanting you to be around. That shiws how stpuid people can be. Live, Love, enjoy!

I don't think it's wrong. Personally, I don't care. I love all women of all different races and color. Hell, I lost my virginity by a redhead and I'm black. Different strokes for different folks. But if you love someone and someone you love loves you back...literally, you stay with that person no matter what anybody says.

Race shouldn't matter! The world would be a better place if more races came together. I know it's different, but my pure breed dog isn't as smart as my mutt, who is obviously a blend of other dissimilar dogs.

No, as long as you love that person. You should understand that we're all human beings and racial or religious difference have nothing to do with the relationship you believe in. Here both of yours faith on your relationship is very important.

All I will say is to do whatever YOU feel is right. Are you going to be spending your whole lifetime with your family, or with this person you love? I know your family will always be your family, but there not always going to be evreywhere you go, living with you, sharing personal secrets with you. Just think about it. I hope you do the right thing:)
