~~ We only passed through Houston, from what I sould see it looked only okay.
But fifty miles to the east is Galveston. That is the loveliest place in Texas.
Not especially "fun", but scenic and relaxed with island charm.
There are trams on the island too!
If your in Houston for a while I would strongly recommend a trip across.

Yes, I've been here. Yes, I live here. I love it here. I'm on the west side of town. Aside from traffic and summer climate, this is a great town.
