I wasn't aware that this was the case, however your previous answers would not, I imagine be too far from the truth.

The expression "City on Seven Hills" would more commonly be associated with Rome by most people I think, so perhaps the reference is being dropped because it is not specific enough?

It is more common than most people think. Not only are Rome and Jerusalem referred to as such, but Babylon was previously called the "Seven Hilled City" and Constantine chose the site for Byzantium as it was a spot known as "Seven Hills".

Christian beliefs are not as influencial in todays world. The Christians are soon becoming the minority. Along with values and respect for life.
