It was a man I use to date. Well, it was actually 2 men that I dated. One told me I cared too d*mn much what people thought and that I needed to start living for me. The other one showed me what it was like to live for my happiness. One I was totally madly in love with and really never got over. The other one was mostly someone to spend time with just to get away from home. Both are unfortunately dead now.

My first job was at a law firm at the age of fifteen. I learned to be deceptive and go for whatever I wanted no matter who it hurt. Luckily, I stopped acting like a jerk and embraced the notion that a good deed outlasts any sort of material or social higher standing.

How you live is pretty much up to you, but it helps if your parents or parent have layed a good foundation. If not, and you are wanting to live a good life......I would hang out with good people and pick up good habits from them. You, yourself have the sole and defining choice. If you came from a bad upbringing, then I would not use that as an excuse, but move forward instead.

No one I met it was Jack Kerouac, the author of On The Road. That book taught me to be passionate about life and that materialism is for the bourgeoisie that lack passions so they re trying in vain to fill their "holes." The book taught me, its better to truly live and discover this earth while broke than spending life trying to earn money and not truly living at all.

Your surroundings show you how to live man. Think about it, the only thing you really learn how to do on your own is breath. You're just a giant wad of play-doh waiting for people to come and make impressions [A.K.A. Shape out] on.
