i want to spend vacations in seattle, but i would also like to enjoy the trip by looking at diferent sites on my way to seattle from San Diego. Thats why i want to travel by train.

Yes you can by Amtrak.

You can take the Pacific Surfliner from San Diego to LA Union station. From Union Station you take the Coast Starlight into Seattle. It takes about a day an a half for the trip.

Amtrak does offer this service, and there are stretches where the train hugs the coastline and gives you some amazing views. But sadly passenger trains often get delayed on this route in favor of freight trains, and often passengers are loaded onto luxury coach buses to get around track work or other troubles. Also the train does not go into San Francisco, but instead busses you into the city on a shuttle from the Richmond side of the bay. Still, it can be a beautiful trip.

hi...Amtrak has the Pacific Liner that is going each and every of ways up the West Coast...i'm specific they have information on website....it is not too extraordinarily high priced and you spot a ton of things of interest....
