Could anyone please tell me about the origin of this antique clock. It is a wall cuckoo clock.

the words translate into "everyman to his taste"
it is a saying that is on many Dutch clocks
its meaning is more like its time to do what you like

it is from a 1680 poem by Constantyn Huygens about time
where the theme is that Everyone can stop and do as they please until they have to go on their way

Constantyn' s Son the famous Dutch Scientist Christiaan Huygens patented the first pendulum clock in 1656 .

Do you have a picture of it? Where'd you get it? I am curious because our family clock was stolen from Portland Oregon three years ago...
