HI!
i think that because u have lived outside of LA u stand a good chance.
it's not easy. i did it but it all depends what u make of it. if u go in thinking that, 'yes, it will be hard at times, and i can always take a trip to visit my fav plcs if i get sick of it' than u just upped your chances of survival. make up your mind to meet new ppl, and really enjoy your new job. and also envite old friends over for weekend parties.
the first three months will take lots of gettin used to but u sound like someone who can put up with change.
good luck and just decide to be happy with whatever choice u have made once it's made

I live in a really small town and I HATE it, so I want to move to a big city.

I don't think anyone from a big city could move to a small town because they are used to having so many options like places to eat, see a movie, all that stuff.

been there done that. I actually like the small town better. Don't have to worry about looking over my shoulder and worring if some punk is gonna shoot in the back for a couple of dollars. Or because he can't fight so he gots to shoot someone.

That's exactly what I did do.

I used to live in Sydney but moved to a smallish country town. It's great.
