First go to a garden shop or a big box hardware store to get a pump and the supplies to pipe the water to the desired location. Next, create the mechanism, cliff like structure, rock formation, etc... you want the water to fall from. Set up the pump. Pump the water to the desired height and (usually) have a reservoir area up there to catch and hold the water until it overflows out and back down to the pond.

you can get the pre-formed piece at Home Depot or Lowe's
add to your pond, camouflage with rocks and plants, add small pump to pond with tubing leading to the top of the waterfall
or you can pile up dirt, cover with rocks, add large flat rocks for the water to run over and pump and you have a waterfall

Go to "Home Depot" and the garden shop. They have everything you need. They also have the magazines for plans for waterfalls.
