Some local style souvenirs might include a Persian rug, a miniature shisha pipe, dates (not the romantic kind!). There are also lots of beautiful postcards showing both the old style of life and the new metropolis. You'll find some antiques too including some jewelry Arabian style.

Some other souvenirs might include bottles of sand pictures or a florescent pink mosque alarm clock - but that depends on your taste!

Depending on when you're going you might be able to make the most of the Shopping Festival or a trip out to Global Village.

Enjoy!

While I was there I went to the gold souk and of course bought some gold. It is an amazing place to visit. I also got a replica of a "dow" I hope I spelled that right, it is a boat there. There is so much there to choose from, it really does depend on what you like. Have a great trip, I am jealous I love it there :)
