We exist to answer your questions like these that no one has the right or wrong answer to. (no matter how mundane they may be) perhaps we exist to find out why we do..and keep advancing until we come to the point we can discover why and how the earth was made as well as the universe.
I feel we exist to find what we enjoy in life and go after our dreams and goals. Maybe we enjoy to find out how the universe was created. maybe your too lazy to do that. well there's people who exist to serve me (..I mean us) food to make $$$ to pay the bills and use the rest for pleasure. We exist to continue our existance like any other organism..but its balanced because we kill each other and other animals can too. We exist to tell you to use spellcheck when you mispell the word 'purpose' too. We exist but we expire too. We exist because there was a love that created us to continue on to find the answers to the Qs of life.

We exist because the Universe exists. But there was a time when we did not exist.
Even God is part of the universe. There is a cycle to everything just like there is another side to everything.
Where there is existence there is also non existence. Where there is birth, there is death. Where there is left, there is right. Where there is dark, there is light. Where there is happiness, there is sadness. Where there is Good there is Bad. Where there is God there is Devil. Where there is a universe, there was a time that the universe did not exist.
Nothing existed. Not space, not God, NOTHING. There is a balance to everything. Like the Yin Yang. Even in our life, it is not healthy to be happy 24/7. Even sorrow is part of life. When we balance everything in life, we will die in peace. We will be content.
That is what life is all about. Balance.
I have found the answer to all my questions because everything is before me. The universe is in front of me. I will help you see the universe too, if you want. It's the simplest thing ever. You don't need a high profile education or a high IQ to see it. You may be the most average person or the most depressed person. You may be 8 years old or 88 years old and still understand.

For many years people been asking that question and you would think by now some one would have an answer and some people thinks they do have the answer. Some people thinks that who ever created us got bored and wanted entertainment, some people thinks we are put here to suffer, some say we are experiments, and some say we are a product of a dying species. I think if we were meant to know it would be in the bible, and maybe it was we really never know. I mean the bible has been rewritten many of times and not in english, and even though if we had the original book we would not be able to understand it and if some one would translate to me I don't if I would believe that person anyway cause that person could be telling what they think I should know. Just like if you go to different churches even if it's the same religion each person views the bible the way they want it anyway. So all I can really say is, keep your family and friends close to you and your enemies closer, be a good person to people and to yourself, keep yourself healthy you'll be happier when you get old, and if there is a afterlife with a heaven and you can hope that one day you can ask the one that created us "what the hell you were thinking you got a lot of explaining do.

Oh gawd, I'd be damned if somebody could answer this question precisely.
We just do exist and that's it. The purpose is entirely up to us. Some people may agree on certain things of its purpose, hence, religion.
I think the only problem with us human beings is that we have this gnawing need to ask the question why. I don't know if that makes us lucky or unlucky. Life is so much a big word that we have to chew it in its bits and pieces. So life's purpose also is as wide as our mind can conceive.
Maybe your purpose was to ask the question and my purpose was to answer yours.

Every person and element is an integral part of our universe. If were not here we would be somewhere else in the universe with just as an important part to play. What is that part? That's why we are here to try and find out.

IF THE EARTH DIDNT EXIST.......is not the REALITY...
THE EARTH EXISTS...........is the REALITY....
U hav 2 understand in this universe the laws of physics are such that REALITY is all that matters........maybe in some parallel universe earth might not exist but here it does...and maybe if it didmt universe might not be present.....who knows after all its a part of this universe...
although spritually speaking, purpose of our lives is nothing special,we born,we live,we die......that is how we and all other beings live....thats the purpose...to live....

Because we know we exist. The purpose of being alive used to be to reproduce because our bodies told us to. With sentience we now exist to find out why we exist, acquire a comfortable life, pass that comfortable life to our progeny and wage war against those who would deny us the comfortable life we have become accustom to.

I'd like to think that it's because we humans are so interesting. Our common sense makes sense only to us and we make so many brain puns that it's laughable. I think it's mentioned somewhere that if Martians or if any other being (with rationality and thinking power) were to look in and observe the way humans think, they'd laugh themselves silly. So, why do we exist? As comic relief.

This universe would be empty if we didn't exist. What will be the value of the universe if no human being will use, facilitate and improve all its resources? Remember, the salt will be useless if it lacks saltyness.
