The background story Jigoku Shoujo (girl from hell), is meant to be that way by contacting her with your grudge you can send the person to hell,
it's the original story and also an advertising ploy,
in the original Japanese website, it was also used.

No, of course not. It’s ridiculous. How would they know? Once you are in hell, you can never get out!
If you want to make sure that you never go to hell (and I don’t blame you if you don’t want to), ask Jesus to forgive your sins and save you. I did; He saved me, and now I know that I am going to be with Him in Heaven forever, after I die or after He returns to judge the living and the dead, whichever comes first. He will save anybody who asks Him to save them. We have His word on it!
