No way I'm very complex! Also why would you want to pigeon hold yourself, or provoke a fight. People just love to prove someone a hypocrite. Besides that seems to say to others yep this is what I find most important about myself so look no further,ya know. Don't limit yourself with labels. But some of the examples you have are tricky, ya if that's how people introduce themselves or the first thing or only part of themselves they talk about or proclaim--- otherwise those are just aspects of some peoples lives. People who narrow in on those aspects and want to pick at it and try call a person out like their doing or are a bad thing/person. Like when people say things like" Oh I get it you're one of those Blanks, and say it in a derogatory fashion their doing the labeling. Which I find to narrow minded and possibly to be discrimination. Why do you ask?

I choose not to eat animals, but when you tell someone you are a vegetarian, 90% of the time they ask you why, and they have some rebuttal for any answer you give. Also, If I decide to someday eat meat, then I'm labeled a cheater by my fellow veggies. Vegetarian has a lot of stereotypes, like weak, preachy, annoying...
I don't want to be labeled vegetarian.

Labels help to describe people. Uniqueness it a label in and of its self. But I don't think the true essence of a person can be defined, it has to be observed and experienced.

I got sick of being labelled by others early on, in school, so I avoid labelling myself and others. It doesn't mean anything except to those people who need to have their universe all nicely pigeonholed. I must admit that to that sort of person who asks me questions about "who I am" I tend to say I'm an eccentric...saying this out loud really gets to them!!
What makes me unique is a lifetime of criticism by others leading me to learn to accept myself as I am and enjoy it. I'll never fit into anyone's pattern, so it's nice to realise it's a lot more fun not to.

You are right. Labels have no meanings. We have to read the Holy Books of the Messengers of God to obtain the inexhausted meanings of the Word of God, the Word which has attractive, creative, transformative powers.
Each man is a unique greater world, bearing all the names and attributes of the One True God. He has to learn to develop them and reflect the image of God here and in the world to come. It is no longer the time to consider man as a small animal to be destroyed at the physical death.
Pray for your progress.

I find it difficult that people's first question when they meet you is always where are you from and then what do you do? I know this is partly what defines you but it labels you straight away. Just cos I'm from one place and do one job doesn't mean I fit all the steretypes of people from that location or in that job. But what else can they say when they meet you?

While I give myself labels (i.e. put myself into certain categories), these are mainly private as in most situations, others are able to make up their own minds about me. If I had a public 360 profile then labels would be necessary for brevity.

We are mistakenly under the bodily designation of life. We think we are man, woman, black, American, etc. The besides that we also label ourselves with other characteristics such as vegetarian, christian, etc. We are not these bodies, we are spirit souls. The body is a temporary designation. This lifetime we are male, next we'll be female, this lifetime we are white, next we'll be black. We must realize our real identity and act accordingly.

The main label I get is ginger. Other labels people have given me are talented, smart, wise for my age, pretty, petite, generous, and friendly.

If I tired that all of my personality's would get in a big fight. It would not be pretty. I have no labels other than wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and child of God.
