can not see video in winamp player?

Question

i and my fried down loaded a video file from internet now my friend can see the video file in win amp but i can only hear the sound of that file.......also can any one say what is this codec and how to down load it and how to use it?

I believe you already suspect that the problem is that you're missing the proper codec required to play this video file you have. There is a free program called AVIcodec which will identify the codec the file uses and will also provide you with a link of where you can obtain the codec to play it (link below). After installing this codec, restart winamp and you should have video.
