I wasn't a teen in the 50's but I was close and my 3 brothers were. I have grand kids now and I have to tell you, there is no comparison. It's not the "kids" fault but they don't seem to have any interests in anything that is even remotely tied to effort. It was a totally different world, 1/10 the people, little mass communication, if you were poor most of us didn't realize it. I suppose it was different in LA but I lived in Oakland at that time.

I can't dance at all

My mom is my best friend

I idolize my mom,Tyra and Oprah,and that is it.Not many celebrities are smart and sane.

I have to pass on the other one

I don't use slang.

I think I'm doing good for a teenager.
