Will the dash cluster (mph, gas, volts, temp, oil and rpm tachs) from the 85 SS fit easily into the 86 SS? I dont like the styling of the 86 tachs and want the 85's instead. I have an option of buying the complete cluster from the 85 or the individual tachs. The cluster is complete with all tachs and dash cover. Will it fit without modifications?

I have found both these web sites informative when we've been looking for replacement parts for our '88. This web site http://www.darklair.com/monte/years.html will tell you the differences between each year in the 4th generation Monte Carlo. Good luck

It is just called a rear quarter panel but it is not easily replaceable. unlke the front quarter panel which can easily be unbolted, the rear quarter panel must be cut as it is all the same piece of steel from the roof to to the rear quarter.Just fix the hole properly also chech the frame for rust in the rear wheel wells as G bodies are notorius for this. Sweet car though.

buy the whole cluster to be on the safe side if its not too much more. you never know what youre getting into when you swap things between year models, and the more parts you have on hand the better.
