all i hear is bad things about the ipod like it frezzing up or it doesnt work correct,whats the deal i dont hear any thing bad about other mp3 players. just ipod. why? and when i say hear bad things, its only from this yahoo answers site

well the ipod is extemly popular. everyone has one so everyone else wants one. they think its the best mp3 player out there. maybe it is??
i had one but it got stolen i had had it for less than a month and it was all ready qwite messed up. the battery is sposed to last 14 hours but mine would only last about 2 hours

First thing, bro, learn how to spell things correctly and use correct grammar and punctuation (question marks, apostrophes, stuff like that). It'll get you far in life. There's even a spell checker on Y! Answers! How 'bout that! Anyway, there is nothing wrong with the iPod (or Apple in general...it's all I use). I have had 2 now, and no probs. Only got the second one because I wanted to upgrade to a larger capacity and video capability. Hope that answers for ya.

I have an ipod, and I love it! All electronics have problems, maybe you only hear it about ipods since theyre more popular and the other mp3 players dont have a specific model to complain about since there are so many different models. Apple is the biggest name is mp3 players.

people will complain about ANY media player..
i've heard a lot of bad iPod experiences and a lot of bad zune experiences..
it depends on how you treat the device if you ask me.
People expect electronics to last forever..
RIGHT! the companies make sure they don't...
it's basic economics..
if something lasted forever you'd never buy it again..
did you know that we have the technology to make light bulbs that last forever.. but if we did the light bulb industry would get very little moolah.
common iPod complaints:
*software problems
*freezing
*shutting off
*etc.
common zune complaints:
*software problems
*lagging
*randomly turning off
*etc.
it isn't just iPod;
the fact of the matter is that MOST people have iPods..
so all you are going to hear is iPod problems over and over again..
i bet you haven't even heard of the zune?
all i hear is zune problems these a days...
mostly cuz i go onto a zune forum..
but still.
ALL media players have their own problems.. [especially when the majority of the population has said media player]

Honestly....I didn't know it had such a bad reputation until I see these answer boards..this was long after we bought my son one....my son has like the 5th generation and has had no problems with it...the sound is great ,the videos and movies play fine.....my other son ended up wanting the pioneer xm satellite radio with the mp3 player built in...is sound and works great to...but I like the sound of my son's ipod better...........

They bought it due to their cool design and its reputation for style and cool features such as adjusting the volume with such a cool way unless the conventional volume buttons to adjust it.

they buy it because The whole mac craze,, and the buzz ,, but why when you can buy a Sony PSP which plays games , video, Internet, picture files, movies, etc,, and of course mp3,, and it's the same price ,,
