I have recently taken up embroidery, and have tried to find some sites online to help, does anyone out there know where I can find some sites to help me, or can any of you help me? My biggest problem is trying to fill in the picture after getting it outlined, any help is greatly appreciated.

I haven't ever looked for embroidery sites, but my grandma
taught me when I was a kid.
To fill in an area, make a stitch about 1/8th " or less, just
catch a couple of threads of the material . Go on in one direction
the length of the shape you are doing (like a flower petal) and
then reverse, making sure that the stitch is staggered on the
way back, meaning that now you catch a stitch even with the
middle of the ones you did on the first row
something like this: _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _
(trying to make this work _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

of course, close together (can't do that on the computer)
Be careful of the tension in your stitches, you don't want to
pull some tighter than others, try to keep them uniform.
Its all just a matter of practice....but have fun.
I wish I had more time to do embroidery, its relaxing.
