Unfortunately I have to work with a woman for whom even saying hello in the morning is a special gratitude. She even tells me with some pride what I feel and does not allow a reply to her "speech", instead she walks hurridly out of the office. I wonder if there are good ideas around which would help me not feeling too bad about this story.

If she's your supervisor, you can file a formal complaint on her. I know this sounds drastic and you might not want to rock the boat but, those rules are in place for a reason. She needs to learn some people skills especially if she's in a position of power. If she's just your coworker, go to your supervisor. It's your right to work in a non-hostile work enviroment. She might not be hostile per say but, she's making your day harder than it needs to be. Tell your supervisor how she talks down to you and how that makes you feel. End with saying that though you enjoy your job, you have no desire to work in a hostile enviroment. That's a supervisor's cue to make sure he fixes the problem before it gets too out of hand. In the meantime, DON'T do anything disrespectful to her like telling her to shut up or talk to the hand or anything. You want to stay within the rules of conduct so her behavior isn't justified in any way.

On a side note, most people like the lady you described are bossy because they have no control in their "real" life. That's not an excuse and it's not your problem either. I'll bet if you find out more about her, she's quite lonely and probably has no friends. Again, not your problem. Just a little psych tip for ya. lol Good luck and don't be afraid to stand up to this bossy woman. She has no problem making your work life uncomfortable, show her the same respect.

stop it!!!!!! And tidy up!!! men could improve up and face the track. do no longer run removed from a bossy woman, we are basically regularly bossy while the guy has stopped listening. Reciprocal integration, like palms and legs in synchronisation. that's a relationship. Being bossy comes while there is an imbalance someplace. so which you will discover out mutually the place it incredibly is. There you notice, I surely have all of the solutions.

Unfortunately we will all deal with people like this at some time or another. You can let it slide right off of you -knowing in your own mind that there's something wrong with a person who has such a complex. OR you can reply with haughtiness to her own snootiness.

This kind of things are very normal in the society nowadays... Just don't care about her and get on with your work... If you feel that you can out talk her, next time just shoot all your comments about her in front of her... Woman do have a soft side too, she might realise it then...

Just "yes" the bag of hot air to death and go about your day doing as you see fit.

Who cares if she thinks she has the wool. Let her think it. You won't win any arguements or confrontations with a person like that so why bother.

Give her a dose of her own medicine. When she starts on one of her monologues, simply turn and walk away.
You can't stop a person from talking, but you can stop being an audience.

When she starts , hold up one hand, palm open and facing her. Tell her to talk to the hand because she is not speaking for how your feel and you would appreciate it if she would stop trying to tell you how you feel because she is usually completely wrong. Say stop every time she tries to open her mouth again.
