they start the count on the first day of your last menstrual period. So you are about 6 weeks if the 15th was the first day. If it was the last, then the count will be different. I know this sounds ridiculous because you are on your period, so you can't be pregnant, but it is just the way the docs do the math. the 40 weeks you are pregnant don't add up to 9 months if you look it adds up to ten, because of they way they calculate it! The site that has you at 4 weeks is basing it on when you most likely ovulated, or conceived. They are all different, just go by what the doc says and don't be surprised in the end if the munchkin comes whenever it wants and to heck with calendars, clocks and due dates! Just make sure that about 1.5 months before the due date that you have both of your bags packed! Congratulations, and a healthy baby to you!!!

If you dont know when your last period was then go to the doctors and explain your concern to them and they will send you for a scan which will be able to let you how many weeks you are. They might only send you for a scan in Feb as you had you period in Dec and they can see the babies heart beat at 8 weeks old. Some time they have to give you an internal scan which is not painful but a little uncomfortable. Hope you find out you extact dates and good luck with your pregnancy

You do not need a pregnancy calculator to work this out and can do this just as easily yourself. Look at a calender and as you say guess when the first day of your last period was and count the number of weeks and days from that to today. So if the first day of your last period was a sunday (and its sunday today) your baby will be due on a sunday 40 weeks from the first day of your last period. However first babys on average are born at 41 weeks and 1 day and second and subsequent are born at 40 weeks and six days.

Your doctor will calculate your pregnancy as 40 weeks starting from the 1st day of your last period. If you are not sure, when pregancy is confirmed by your doctor, he should book you in for a 'dating scan' at your hospital. If not, ask him for one.
Good luck with your baby x

Some pregnancy calculators start from the last day of your last period and some start from conception...either way, the due date will be the same.

I got a little over 6 weeks going by your last period. The other date would be most likely when you conceived the baby.

I agree with "Its a Boy!" I calculated around 6 weeks, but your doctor can tell you for sure.
