Anybody else out there feel like this? I see all the stuff that's in the stores and magazines right now, and I'm thinking...."No way can I wear that stuff!" (I'm not old, I'm only 28 for goodness sakes, but I already did all these looks in junior high school!)
Should I just let the "skinny" jean thing pass me by? Boot cut pants are far too flattering for me to give up right now, but they are getting harder to find.
Leggings? I thought that was a distant memory from the past! Especially paired with skirts and ballet flats or boots.
My main question is this:
If I wore these fashion trends the first time around...am I allowed to do it again? Anyone else thinking this?

I am 28 also. I understand. I also have kind so ALOT of what is out there I dont feel I should be wearing anymore. My tastes have grown tho. I LOVE Boho and ethnic inspired styles. Whether they have African flavor or Hindi flavor, doesnt matter I will wear it!!! I love the bootflare and straight leg jeans I always have. If I could a pair of TRUE bellbottoms in my curvy size I would sport those to (Yes, youngins I said sport) lol anywho, I would try and find a way to make what you wear at little more mature looking. Unless your frame is "skinny" I would stay away from them. BUT if you have great shape to you go with tho whole leggings and tunic tops hook them up with the "big"belt and some hoop earrings and wear heels NOT flats with it. You know make the outfit your own!!! What ever you decide to do....be happy and make sure YOU are comfortable in it. God Bless !

I understand. I did platforms and mini skirts the first time out. But you're hardly too old at 28. I'm nearly 60, and still dress young, except for the belly baring low-risers, because I no longer find it necessary or dignified to exploit my sexuality. Here's a suggestion: try shopping at Goodwill. You'd be surprised at what you can find there to build a wardrobe that is your own expression, instead of trying to follow the latest trends. Retail stores donate overstock, and there's a vintage section in the store (at least here in San Francisco), which means anything older than the last 15 years.

I guess the issue here is not so much of about the age. Wear something that you're most comfortable with and most flattering to your figure. No point in wearing something fashionable and yet you're uncomfortable or worse, not being able to carry off the style. Just be yourself. Maybe you can update your current dressing with new make-up styles and accessories.

there is no age limit for style.. you can wear current fashion trends and still look mature.. just mix the old favorites with some of the new ones you've been pondering over and you'll have a look of your own.. i am 29 and feel more, stylish, pretty and younger than ever.. try it.

If my 4-year-old son can (without help) pick out his own clothes and dress himself, I'm sure a 28-year-old woman should be able to too.
